Rich history meets innovation
The whole concept is based on inheritance and innovation, says the architect Yunfei Fang. Traditional Chinese culture and history were combined with modern energy standards also keeping environment protection in mind. Therefore, brick as a natural and sustainable building material, was the first choice for the façade.
Brick enhances the buildings performance
The façade of the tower is constructed in a plain brick system particularly for the shear wall structure, matching a high-rise residence. The façade bricks were not only chosen because of their appealing look, they also act as a protection for the structure system. Additionally, they improve the heat preservation and insulation performance through incorporated internal air layers.
